Junk Biolab

Molecular biologists who work in old labs tend to get stuck with old equipment, which does not meet their exact needs. They are then forced to improvise and modify the existing machinary, mostly with duct tape and styrofoam. This project will allow us to further experiment with junk, and reuse it to create some basic but useful (and beautiful) machines. For example: table top vortex mixer, spin-down centrifuge, belly dancer shaker, spectrophotometer, gel electrophoresis, tube rotators and more.
